He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Eagles Aerie 531 both of Beatrice. He also served on the rural Cortland School Board. He was a former member of the American Lutheran Church of Adams where he served on the church council, was Sunday school superintendent and treasurer for the Sunday school.
He farmed and raised livestock and also drove a township maintainer for 35 years, retiring in 2003.
He married Betty Lou Harms April 28, 1943, at the American Lutheran Church of Adams. He attended Townsend school of rural Cortland and was confirmed in 1934 at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. He was born May 27, 1918, near Firth and baptized at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. Parde, 93, Adams, formerly of Cortland, died Saturday morning, March 24, 2012, at the Gold Crest Retirement Center of Adams.
